Surgical Oncology

Surgical oncology integrates with systemic therapy with multiple paradigm-shifting recent trials. The session covers neoadjuvant immunotherapy (NICHE-2 dostarlimab in MSI-H colorectal, NADIM in NSCLC, KEYNOTE-522 in TNBC), MRD-guided treatment with ctDNA (DYNAMIC, BESPOKE, BREAST-MRD), sentinel lymph-node biopsy evolution, CRS+HIPEC and PIPAC, and minimally invasive cancer surgery. Discussion addresses the watch-and-wait approach in rectal cancer, neoadjuvant vs adjuvant approaches, liquid biopsy integration, multidisciplinary tumour boards, and emerging robotic platforms in cancer surgery.
